Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE:S): Current Price: $5.62
An internal memo has been leaked which claimed that Sprint will finally lengthen its Total Equipment Protection insurance service to iPhone owners on January 25th. Similar to Apple Care, customers will be given 30 days to to add TEP to their plan for $11 a month. In lieu of an upfront charge, Sprint’s TEP claims come with more expensive deductibles which may range from $150 to $200.

The company will likely report Q4 earnings prior to market open on Tuesday, January 22, with a conference call scheduled for 8:30 am ET. Analysts expect an EPS of 52c on revenue totaling $29.75 billion, First Call reports. The consensus range for EPS is 39c to 62c on revenue totaling $29.35 billion to $30.2 billion.

Vodafone Group plc (NASDAQ:VOD): Current Price: $25.87
The company’s stake in US network Verizon is seen as positive, and it may possibly realize further value for the mobile phone giant. This is what broker Liberum believes, who gives VOD shares a Buy rating and a price target of 205 pence. Vodafone possesses a 45 percent stake in what is the largest mobile network across the pond. According to analyst Lawrence Sugarman, the firm’s Verizon Wireless stake has a worth of about GBP70 billion, which is 90 percent of Vodafone’s market value.

The company has intentions to release its Q4 2012 results on Thursday, February 21, 2013 following market close, and the company will host a conference call during the day at 4:30 P.M. Eastern Time.
